I gotta change
200 x 240 mm. Portada en serigrafía dorada. Encuadernación wire-o.

Through Gabriel’s story, Juan explores the relationship between identity, art and mental health. Diagnosed with schizophrenia during his adolescence, Gabriel challenges the stigma that shapes the lives of those who fall outside society’s expectations. “I gotta change”, a phrase he repeats constantly, becomes the starting point for a question: how much do we need to change in order to find our place in the world?
The publication translates Gabriel’s universe onto paper through a design that incorporates references to religious culture present in his imagination. The cover evokes a sacred book, while the accompanying translations draw on the typographic conventions of the Gutenberg Bible. The inserts, featuring Gabriel’s own notes, drawings and reflections on everyday life, engage directly with the photographs, expanding the narrative through his own perspective.
A publication that brings us closer to his experience without reducing it to a diagnosis, inviting us to question the perspective from which we understand others.
First edition of 200 copies: October 2026. ISBN: 979-13-991817-3-9. Publication of 140 pages + 36 inserts. 200 x 240 mm. Gold screen-printed cover. Wire-o binding.
